Egyptian loofah is known for its soft yet exfoliating fibers, unlike any you have experienced before. Here is a picture of a round 5 oz bar of loofah soap to show you what this loofah can do for your loofah soap! This loofah was from a whole loofah that was cut in 1" sections.
Loofah is a vegetable. It is of the same family as cucumbers. The fruit looks also like a huge cucumber. When ripe, the inside develops into rich cellulose fibers. That is what we use for our products. *Cotton is also cellulose fibers.* You can gather from this that Loofah products are 100% natural, made of organic cellulose and 100% bio-degradable.
As a plant, there are two species of Loofah, Loofah Aegyptiaca *Egyptian Loofah* and Loofah Acutangula *Chinese*. It is a proven fact that Egyptian Loofah is the best when it comes to being skin friendly. It is softer, yet richer in fibers.
