The loofah pockets have a velcro closure, perfect soap savers for those little bars of soap you just don't want to throw away. Loofah believe it or not is grown on a vine and is a gord! The growing season for loofah plants is from early March to end of November in order for it to ripen and dry out. Loofah plants are primarily grown in tropical regions, where the growing season is long enough to allow the gord to mature. The loofah sections and whole loofah are raw material, unbleached.

You can bleach these loofahs if you would like a lighter color. I actually think the natural color is beautiful. Bleach your loofah with regular wash bleach (do not use too much bleach or you will ruin the fibers). The loofah comes right from the vine, cleaned, deseeded and compacted for shipment. They will have a "plant odor" (this is completely natural for raw loofah), and will be completely gone once placed in water or if you are going to bleach them.
