Ear Infection Blues 2 fl oz.
|
Item Number: 0102
|
This tincture is for use in herbal teas or even better juice! Started at the beginning of an ear infection, this tincture of three natural herbal antibiotics will aid in a quick and natural recovery. Made with ginger root, echinacea, red root and licorice. 30 drops each hour per 150 pounds (68 kg) of body weight until symptoms cease. Best used in juice. Keep refrigerated after opening.
Side effects and contraindications:
Ginger Root: Few side effects are linked to ginger when it is taken in small doses. Side effects most often reported are gas, bloating, heartburn, and
nausea. These effects are most often associated with powdered ginger. Because ginger can interfere with blood
clotting, it should be used cautiously in patients on anticoagulant therapies
such as coumadin or heparin. Ginger may reduce the toxic effects of the
chemotherapeutic agent cyclophosphamide.
Red
Root: No side effects have ever been noted. However, Michael Moore
suggests caution by people using blood coagulants and advises against
the use of large doses in pregnancy, because of its a stringent action.
Licorice:
Overdoses or long use of large doses can cause severe potassium
depletion, hypertension, decrease in plasma renin and aldosterone
levels, edema, and at very large doses decreased body and thymus weight
and blood cell counts. Caution should be used, however, in length and
strength of dosages.
Echinacea: Echinacea
is a stimulant. Echinacea should not be
used if you're getting sick a lot and are using Echinacea only to stave off
illness without using the time gained to heal the immune system itself through
deep healing and recuperation. Rarely,
joint pain may occur with large doses taken for extended periods of time.
